Continental Warrenty complaint by Roger gar
Today I called and spoke to Bob Stevenson at continetal warranty. I told them that I wanted a quote and information before i committed.

I was pressured to buy the warranty. Bob just was not going to stop until I commited. They refused to send me info and would not let me think about it for 2 days. 2600 for 8 year old taurus 37 months or 37000 miles with 295 dollars down and 360 a month(ESTIMATE). I told him it was to high and i needed about 2 days to check out his company. He pressured me to sign up today. Told me to check bbb site. Also kept bringing up my car was 8 years old. I told him I check the internet not just bbb. at any rate i tried to politely hang up 2x he kept the hard sell up. finally i got disgusted and hung up.

Do not trust any company that will not show you product up front.

We have never recieved anyinformation about my warrany.

I think this report should not be held against this company and here is why. Roger lied to Bob when he said he needed 2 days to check things out, Roger thought $2,600 for a 8 year old taurus was way too much. (Not that I am disagreeing about that by the way.) So then Roger instead of saying he had concerns about the price said he wanted to check it out. This company offered him I bet to walk through their website and it sounds like the BBB as well. Roger instead of coming clean and saying the price was too high still maintained the charade of needing "time to do research." The reason why sales people are so pushy and obnoxious is because us customers lie to them about our real concerns. Thats the truth, this call would have ended different if Roger wasn't lying to the sales person.
